THE OPPORTUNITY

Farmers Insurance is excited to host these golf equipment drives to benefit local First Tee chapters at each of our 4 main hubs:

Grand Rapids, MI
Phoenix, AZ
Olathe, KS
Los Angeles, CA

Following the completion of the drive, Next Round Golf will turn the equipment into monetary donations for each local chapter!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Kid’s clubs that are donated can be directly used in various First Tee Programs, but by partnering with Next Round, First Tee is able to take donations of adult clubs and turn them into dollars that directly fund the incredible programs they are running here at home, and around the world.

  • Golf clubs in general, should be less than 20 years old and not be in a broken condition. Worn grips, dings, scratches, etc. are ok, but a cracked head or major rattle are not.
  • Golf bags should have working zippers and straps. Fading or normal wear and tear are fine.
  • Golf balls of any kind are acceptable, new or used.

First Tee/Farmers Insurance can provide a receipt upon request at the drop off location.

The drop off locations and times are listed above!

About First Tee:

First Tee enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, First Tee creates learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do.

They are an international youth development organization that uses golf as a tool to teach young people the positive values inherent in the game such as honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and confidence. Research has proven that our participants are learning and using life skills such as goal setting, interpersonal communication, self-management and resilience skills. The First Tee is more than golf. In a country where one-third of young people say they lack adult role models, places where they feel safe, and quality education, The First Tee is filling these voids through three main programming areas: certification classes, the First Tee School Program, and targeted outreach to other area nonprofits. At The First Tee, young people receive a solid foundation – through the Nine Core Values and the Nine Healthy Habits – that prepares them for life and its challenges.
